Foundation Engineering

The State of Colorado requires that foundations for new residences be designed and wet stamped by a professional engineer. Foundation engineering depends upon residence size, location, soils type, ground bearing strength, etc.

Design and review for foundation engineering can include the following:

  • Structural analysis for load-bearing capabilities
  • Foundation design for large equipment
  • 2D CAD drawings
  • Onsite inspection
  • Compliance with building code
  • Engineering design calculations

Typical foundation investigation and design for a small residence requires 6 to 10 hours of work for site investigation (review location, drainage, soils, and design). Each site has its own challenges and is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Professional engineering rates are available upon request.
